What we can do is supply the primer, sealer and the clean, oil-resistant finish coat that go over a prepared concrete slab, and point you to a contractor who applies epoxy coatings. Tell us the garage area and the condition of the slab and we will say honestly which part of the system we can cover.
Deck timber needs a penetrating stain or sealer, which is a different product from wall emulsion. We can supply the primer and the protective coatings used on timber and metalwork, and we can arrange a local contractor for the sanding, preparation and application. Ask us for the coating system and the labour together.
Bare brick and blockwork need a breathable masonry coating, not a standard exterior emulsion, and the wall has to be clean and dry first. We supply exterior Weather Shield coatings, primers and sealers, and we can arrange a contractor who will prepare the masonry and apply it. Get the system right before the first coat goes on, because masonry coatings are hard to remove.
Popcorn and textured ceilings are scraped, repaired and skimmed before anything is painted. We supply the putty, primer and finish for the repair, and we can arrange a painting contractor to take the texture down and carry out the painting. The removal labour is quoted separately from the paint, so ask for both.
Kitchen cabinet painting and refinishing is a different job from painting walls: the doors come off, the old finish is abraded, the edges are masked, and the substrate decides the primer.
